The event will feature a landmark attempt to set the World Record for the Largest Sustainable Test Drive, with over 500 electric vehicles to be tested in a single day, making history in the region. Visitors will have unprecedented access to more than 70 electric vehicles from over 20 global brands.

“Every test drive will last about 15 minutes, with over 500 test drives expected to take place during the event,” said Aakash Pandey, COO of Yalla Green Mobility. “We are expecting over 3,000+ visitors, and it’s going to be a full day of driving, learning, and fun. The idea is to promote sustainability in mobility and encourage people to try clean driving options.”

UAE’s EV Market Growth

According to Sal Jafar, CEO of Aerospace and ESG MENA, “There are currently 200,000 EVs on UAE roads. Last year, it was around 139,000. By the end of 2029, that number is expected to hit half a million. The UAE is well-prepared to handle that growth. Our EV infrastructure is already above global standards and is only getting better.”

Jafar added that EVs can also benefit consumers financially: “A motorist can save around Dh1,500 in fuel and maintenance, since electric cars don’t need petrol or regular oil changes. Raising awareness like this is great, not just for individuals, but for the environment too.”
